Lessons
Discovery. Creativity. Beauty. Inspiration. Learning music is a meaningful pathway to communication, discipline, and fulfillment. The act of making music through practice and performance elicits awareness of the mind and body and entails an effective collaboration between the two. Benefits include refined coordination skills, awareness of posture and breathing, dexterity, ability to multitask, improved aural perception, focus, imagination, attention to details while keeping the larger picture in sight, discipline, and at the core, great enjoyment! We explore various movements, sounds, and ideas through playing the piano, cultivating an appreciation and understanding of music – that which is timeless, expressive, and impactful.
Piano Studio
Monica has been teaching for over fifteen years and has experience working with children, college students, and adults in individual and group settings. Students at Dr. Kang-Sasaki's piano studio receive weekly one-on-one lessons, perform in studio classes, piano recitals, and have the option to participate in competitions and festival events. Monica helps students develop an organic physical approach, a strong foundation, and facilitate self-expression through colorful, diverse repertoire.
